Aotea College girls sevens team

This is the first time a Porirua school has qualified to compete at the top sevens tournament in the country. All the girls in the sevens team played for the girls rugby team that competed at the College Sport Wellington rugby final for the third year in a row. The team is coached by Findlay Siania, also coach of the girls rugby team.The Tournament will be held this weekend at Sacred Heart College in Auckland. The girls are travelling on Friday morning and will play their first game on Saturday at 9:50am against Hamilton Girls High School. Their second game will be at 12:10pm against Bay of Island College followed by their last pool game against Otahuhu College at 2:30pm.  On Sunday the girls will play 7 games, the times and opposition will determined by their placing in the pool games. The tournament will be live on SKY TV on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm. There will be live coverage on field 1 only from 12-6pm on Saturday & 11-5pm on Sunday.This tournament is a great opportunity for our girls to showcase all of the great work they have been doing over the last 4 years. The team has been preparing for this tournament for the last couple of months and we wish them all the best.
