Teacher Aide for English Language Learners
As a result of increase in numbers of local and international students we have the potential to offer up to three teacher aide positions ranging from 10 to 25 hours per week.
The English Language Learning Department is part of the wider Learning Pathways Faculty. Our vision is that Aotea College provides an inclusive environment for all learners to enable successful engagement in their learning. Teachers and support staff create a strong team working together to support our students.
Applicants must have:
● Strong oral and written communication skills in English
● Strong interpersonal skills
● IT skills
Applicants must also be confident and adaptable as tasks will vary depending on student needs.
Fluency in another language would be advantageous but not essential. Priority languages include Spanish, Japanese or Burmese. Some experience in working with secondary school students would also be an advantage.
Remuneration is subject to the NZEI Support Staff Collective (Grade B) and applicants will be subject to Police Vet and Safety Check.
